Common questions.
Is my data stored in the UK?
You choose your data residency region at account setup: UK (London + Manchester), EU (Amsterdam + Frankfurt), US East (Virginia + Ohio), or APAC (Singapore + Sydney). Data is stored and geo-replicated entirely within your chosen region — it never crosses to a different region without your explicit instruction. Your data residency choice is written into your Data Processing Agreement.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Your data remains intact for 30 days after the trial ends. We'll send you reminder emails at days 25 and 28. If you don't activate a paid plan, your data will be securely deleted in accordance with GDPR requirements and our data retention policy. We never delete data without warning.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes, plan changes can be made at any time from your billing dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. There are no penalties for changing plan.
Do you charge for data egress or restores?
No. Unlimited restores are included in all plans at no additional charge. There are no egress fees, no per-restore charges, and no bandwidth fees. This is a deliberate design choice — we never want cost to be a barrier to recovery when you need it most.
How is Microsoft 365 pricing calculated?
Microsoft 365 backup is priced by the number of licensed users in your Microsoft 365 tenant — £3.00 per user per month for 1–99 users, and £2.50 per user per month for 100–499 users. For tenants with 500 or more users, please contact our sales team for volume pricing. The M365 backup included in each plan covers up to the user limit shown in the plan; additional users are billed at the standard per-user rate.
Do you offer charity or education discounts?
Yes. We offer a 25% discount on all plans for registered UK charities (Charity Commission registered number required) and state-funded educational institutions (including maintained schools, academies, and further education colleges).
